Metadata Librarian

Archives & Special Collections

Representative of my dual master's in public history and library sciences, I am interested in community archives, accessible digital archives, and imparting the importance of multicultural collections to create a more accurate and inclusive historical record. As an historian, my studies focus on antebellum nineteenth century African American history including slave narratives and the abolitionist movement, as well as nineteenth century women and gender studies. My relevant work experience includes archives, full scale digitization projects, metadata creation and migration, documentary editing, and social media outreach.
